Fotolimpics Teams

How to build a team

The purpose of Fotolimpics is to start building a network of people that enjoy like yourself the hobby of photography. To participate in our contest, you must be part of a Team. A tema can have between two to three amateurs. Also a team can have a mentor, which is someone in the professional field of the arts, photography or videography that will coach the team to prepare for the events.

Why 2 to 3 participants per team?

The amount of two to three people is because is more easier to manage by that team any decision and is easier for a mentorship to work with them

Team Mentorship

A mentorship is a tool of great help. It could be anyone living near the team or far from them. With today’s technology, a mentor, advisor or coach is someone that can be reach from afar and obtain his/her knowledge, good advice and overlook for team progress.

That mentor is only obliged to the team and not to Fotolimpics. He/She can assist the team physically when a contest is held, being present giving them moral support and technical advice.

The team constitution

The team must have a geogaphical city/town name. It can be from any part of the world but that city must exists in the Atlas of World Geography of publisher Rand McNally. No national names can be used. If the city have the same name of big areas like a country, state, county, territory, canton, or province, it can not be used as it will cover many cities.

Once a name is selected, it can not be used by another team until it is discarded by the holding team either by dissolution of the team or transferring the name to another team. A team can have only one name at a time.

Team Clusters

Teams can make clusters to have a block of contestants from the same geographical area. Those clusters are only for the purpose of meeting themselves on the geographical area from where they are to practice for fotolimpics contests. Clusters are out of the reach of Fotolimpics, as it is a voluntary way to meet and practice the teams for a future contest. Teams or Clusters can not use the name of Fotolimpics to make their own events without the permission of Fotolimpics™ availing the event as qualification for the Final Contest
